At CCEE, we address the growing need for qualified early childhood educators across Kentucky by offering accessible, affordable, and high-quality training programs. As a nonprofit organization, we are committed to empowering educators through credentialing, mentorship, and hands-on learning opportunities.

As the proud owner of a thriving childcare facility and a dedicated scholar pursuing her Ed.D. with a specialization in early childhood education, Dr.

RiveFAQrs embodies the perfect blend of academic excellence and practical application.Her journey is defined by a diverse range of experiences, from leading childcare programs to conducting impactful research in early childhood development. A recipient of numerous community and national honors, including the Minority-Owned Business Award, Dr. Rivers is widely recognized for her contributions to the industry.

Mrs. Rashawn Carter-Kamau: Vice President

Meet Rashawn Carter-KamauTraining Coordinator & Early Childhood Education Expert

Rashawn Carter-Kamau brings over 30 years of expertise in early childhood education, with a proven track record of creating nurturing and engaging learning environments that support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children.

As a dedicated educator and leader, Rashawn has extensive experience in curriculum implementation, classroom management, and professional development, making her a vital asset to The Career Center for Early Educators, Inc.Currently serving as the Training Coordinator, Rashawn oversees the development and enhancement of learning materials, audits coursework to ensure quality, and supports scholars through their professional development journey.

She plays a key role in coordinating training initiatives, facilitating communication, and collaborating with the team to improve outcomes. Her commitment to excellence is further demonstrated by her active pursuit of a Kentucky Level 3 Trainer’s Credential and a Preschool CDA. Rashawn has over 20 years of experience in various leadership roles, including serving as a lead preschool teacher, program administrator, business consultant, and center director. As the owner of Growing Streams Learning House and Right At Home Preschool Services, LLC, she combines practical knowledge and administrative expertise in her work.

She has a deep understanding of diverse educational approaches, including Montessori, Reggio Emilia, High Scope, and Creative Curriculum, ensuring that her training and mentoring are inclusive and effective.Rashawn’s passion for early childhood education and her dedication to empowering educators align perfectly with the mission of The Career Center for Early Educators, where she works to elevate the quality of care and education provided to young learners.

Ms.Saretha Williams-Clark: Secretary

Meet Ms. Saretha Williams Clark Founding Member, Credentialed Trainer & Coach

Ms. Saretha Williams Clark is a seasoned early childhood education professional with over 30 years of experience in the childcare industry. As one of the founding members of The Career Center for Early Educators, Inc.

Ms. Saretha has played a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s mission to empower early childhood educators and elevate the quality of care across the field.Ms. Saretha's extensive background includes owning and operating a nonprofit childcare center, where she cultivated a nurturing environment that prioritized the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children.

Her leadership and expertise have positively impacted countless educators, families, and children in her community.A credentialed Level 5 Trainer and Coach, Ms. Saretha is dedicated to professional development and mentorship. She provides educators with the tools and strategies they need to succeed, emphasizing developmentally appropriate practices, inclusive environments, and continuous learning. Her unwavering commitment to excellence and passion for early childhood education make her a cornerstone of our team.

Ms. Belinda Shontee: Trainer

Meet Belinda Shontee Level 4 Trainer & Early Childhood Coach

Belinda Shontee brings over two decades of expertise in early childhood education, training, and coaching. As a dedicated professional, Belinda has worked extensively with preschool and school-age children, focusing on fostering developmentally appropriate learning environments and enhancing the quality of care for young learners.

Belinda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration from Spalding University, where she developed a strong foundation in child development and program management. Her professional journey includes serving as an Early Childhood Program Coach at Community Coordinated Child Care (4C) and as a Family Childcare Director at Destiny’s Family Child Care Home. During her tenure, she supported educators with training, mentoring, and coaching strategies that prioritized social-emotional learning and family engagement.

Currently, Belinda serves as a Level 4 Trainer and Coach, specializing in supporting family childcare programs and offering tailored professional development workshops. She excels in creating instructional materials, delivering evidence-based training, and building strong relationships with educators to improve classroom practices and outcomes for children.

Belinda’s commitment to empowering early childhood educators and fostering inclusive, high-quality learning environments aligns seamlessly with the mission of The Career Center for Early Educators, where she plays a pivotal role in delivering impactful training and mentoring.

Ms. Brittney Rivers: Administrative Staff & Trainer

Meet Brittney Rivers Kentucky Level 2 Trainer & Early Childhood Advocate

Brittney Rivers is a dedicated early childhood education professional with a passion for empowering educators and fostering high-quality learning environments for young children. As a Kentucky Level 2 Trainer, she delivers state-approved training sessions that focus on best practices in child development, curriculum planning, and classroom management.

Brittney brings a wealth of experience to her role, including her work as an Enrollment Specialist and Assistant Teacher at Talk Childcare To Me, where she supported administrative processes, mentored educators, and provided nurturing care for infants and toddlers.

She has accumulated over 185 hours of early childhood training and earned a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential in Infant/Toddler Development, demonstrating her deep commitment to professional growth.With a Master of Arts in Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor of Science in Media Communications from Full Sail University, Brittney also brings creative and communication skills to her work. Her ability to engage and inspire educators ensures that training programs are impactful and aligned with Kentucky’s early childhood education standards.
